PK Group are proud to be the main sponsor of Be Richmond Get on Board 2021, a unique paddle board and river clean up event on Thursday 9th September that takes place on the Thames. As in previous years, the course runs from Kew Bridge to River Lane in Richmond.
The Thames
The main aim of Get on Board is to highlight the problem of plastic pollution in our waterways. The Thames is one of Richmond’s greatest assets, it supports businesses, attracts visitors and provides leisure facilities for the community. Get on Board is also about building on the successes of previous years and creating an enjoyable community event that unites businesses, workers, residents, schools and charities in a common cause. This is something we feel very strongly about as residents of Richmond, we are excited to interact with our neighbours around Richmond on the day.
We will have ten of our employees paddle boarding on the day and many more walking alongside picking up litter along the way. The ten employees taking part are preparing with a beginners lesson from Active 360 Richmond. Our team is thoroughly looking forward to a fun event that will be helping to rid the river and towpath of plastic pollution.
